Since I was a young child, I was always drawn to scenes with great amounts of contrast and/or color and above all, great natural beauty. Coming from a naturally spectacular place like Tasmania, it’s pretty much 2nd nature to me. I started out in late 77 with a hand me down Kodak Instamatic 126 camera. My very first photograph was of a small but very perfect wave. I stooped down low to get the correct framing for the image. That was the beginning of a long and illustrious career, including 3 books, several photographic awards and over 140 magazine covers. Right throughout my career, I have always taken time to indulge in my artistic pursuits and so have built up many collections of images over time. One of these is Shadow Land, my finest collection yet. Basically, many of the images have an intensity about them with the light, usually in a colorful way and somewhere in the image, you can usually find a human form amongst all the dark shadows and silhouettes.
