Hi Frothers !
If you forgot your sunblock to go to the racecourse today, don’t worry, you should be fine. The weather has decided to make us long for Summer. It’s grey, windy, rainy, cold…so I reckon we’d create a 5 minutes escape window before some you head off to the TAB.
Rapa Nui. Just the name in itself makes you travel.
Rapa Nui has been one of my stops from my recent (long) travels. Actually, the last stop, finishing on a high.
Rapa Nui belongs to South America, as this is a Chilean territory. But the reality is that Rapa Nui is deeply Polynesian. Language, traditions, way of life, etc…are a million times closer to what you’d find in Papeete than in Santiago.
Rapa Nui is one of those places where something mystical floats in the air. It must be coming from the Moai, those famous statues. They are mesmerising. At first, it’s a ”Wow”. And then, you cannot help but thinking ”how ? why ? who ?….wow”. A great place to explore, surf, dive, horse-ride, find peace and mostly discover a population rich in traditions, culture and open to discuss their identity issues, if you show enough curiosity.
Put it on your bucket list.
Don’t forget the 10% discount all Photographers’ prints & artworks types/sizes, for all Xmas orders placed on/before the 22nd November. Just type xmas2015 in the coupon code box when checking-out, and there you go: 10% savings !
Have a good day ! May the odds be with you.
