It is certainly a different day out there today after yesterday’s blister buster. The southerly moved through sometime after midnight, bringing back the ocean’s cool sea breeze to relieve us from yesterday's heat.
The wind and temperature change didn't stop people coming down for an early dip again this morning. The sea is still warm but a mess, not only choppy from the wind but the amount of rubbish on the shoreline is horrendous! At Bronte this morning there were so many plastic bottles littering the shore that I thought I was back in Bali! Obviously they were all blown out to sea by the westerly yesterday and all returning in the southerly this morning. I also counted 2 bodyboards, 4 towels and 7 thongs, not the ones the girls wear (or some guys) but the foot type, all washing around in the shorebreak. There was also a two seater lounge! But I doubt that was washed in. The amount of empty beer bottles lying around too is a joke. If you come to our beautiful beaches, clean up your crap when you leave!!
There aren’t too many waves around again but it is slightly bigger. It may just be the onshore wind making it break but it’s definitely more rideable than it was yesterday.
Have a good one!
Billy
