While we were battling those icy winds blowing off the mountains, some of our photogs have managed to escape the clutches of Jack Frost. Hawaii, Fiji and even Byron Bay have warmed their fingers and toes. In between kicking back on the warm sand and reading a book, catching waves boardies only, they have taken some nice shots for us all to enjoy.

For most of us left behind, uggies and beanies have been the necessity for our early mornings on the beach, but hopefully our pics will bring a little bit of warmth to your day!

Kobi Graham Benefit

Wow, what an afternoon! We're in no doubt that steins of beer and Midori cocktails were the cause of more than a few sore heads the following morning.
Over 170 people turned up at the Bavarian Bier Cafe Bondi in support of Bronte local Kobi Graham, who broke his neck at the end of May. While Kobi was extremely lucky to retain full use of his limbs, he is still up for months of recovery. Money raised from ticket sales has gone directly to aid Kobi in his recovery and rehabilitation.
The Bavarian Bier Cafe was filled to the gills with the Eastern Suburb's surfing community, high power execs and the odd (eh hem) celebrity. Friends and strangers came from as far as Yamba and Melbourne; Seeing Kobi looking swish and all smiles with Rose, Bluey and stunning girlfriend Alex at his side was enough to make the trip worth it.

"Snap", Just like that the wind swings round to the WSW for the start of the week and reminds us that indeed we have hit Autumn. The water is still very warm but if you head out today you'll need a wetty vest at least. It looked fun out there for the early. Small but it looked like it was picking up or pulsing. A handful of surfers were taking advantage of a fun right in the south corner at Bondi early but looking across the whole beach there are at least 4 banks to have a go at. Tama has also got a few worth looking at as well as North Maroubra.

We've been getting a few emails asking why we haven't been updating daily! The good news is that we can tell you that Frothers is getting a big make over. We are working hard to bring it to you sooner rather than later. We can guarantee you that your going to love it! Thanks for the emails!

While we are all sleeping tonight. The Tasman sea will be rumbling up a little feast for us to have a go at in the morning. If all goes to plan we should see some lines rocking into our bays at sunrise. Nicely groomed by a stiff SW wind. Oh yeah get that rubber ready! In fact it's looking the goods all week. Some nice long period South swell is also popping it's head up on the charts for later in the week! Yeow!!!!

Boost Mobile Pro

Earlier in the year we had a visit from the World's best. Yep the big boys were in town and they didn't disappoint.
The Boost Mobile Pro rocked into the hood and literally lit up Bondi for 3 days. Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Taj Burrow and Jordy Smith were all here smashing the Bondi wind slop to pieces. It was Rip Curl team rider Owen Wright that took the title at the end of the 3 days. He was untouchable and seemed steps ahead of the other guys! It was a great event for our local surf community as everyone from the Bondi Rescue Lifeguards to the local boardriders clubs were involved in helping in the running of the event! Let's hope they back it up next year and put on another great surfing event for us! Here's a selection of pics from the event that Brad scored during the 3 days!
