Update 6th November 2012

I fluffed about at Tamarama this morning in hope that the NE windswell would serve up some fun little peelers, but before too long I knew Maroubra would be the place for a wave or two.

The rights at the Bra have just enough punch behind them to really get movin! Jump on the right one and you could really let fly, maybe even bust some fins. It's only chest high but fun!

Now we all know xmas is coming up real quick and If your looking for some cool presents this year for no more than $50 then why not come in to our gallery at 145c Macpherson St Bronte and have a look at our 12" x 8" print and frame combo's. Now there's a deal! You could deck out the whole family in one go! Open Wed – Sunday from 10am5pm

Best of luck in the big race today. Hope you pick a winner – Not a booger

Cheers – Brad Malyon

Update 5th November 2012

Good morning! And that’s more of a statement than hello but a mix of both all the same.

Yes, it’s nice out there, too good to be heading to the office that’s for sure but you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. I threw the flippers on early and had a little swim and even though the wave action wasn’t that exciting, the chilly bite which the ocean still has makes you feel alive once you’ve taken that first plunge.

You know summer has arrived when the cricket kicks off. Sath Efrica are looking good in warm ups compared to our dismal effort. I would imagine that Bondi’s supporter base would be pretty evenly split for this series, so go the Aussies!!!

Good luck to everyone in the Melbourne Cup tomorrow also, I hope your gee gee’s comes home strong.

Billy

Update 2nd November 2012

It's a bit of an unlucky day on the weather front folks. That onshore south wind is very chilly and has torn through the beaches this morning ruining any hope of a Friday fun surf. On the brighter side there was a very unlikely awesome sunrise that lasted for a good 15 minutes or so. I hope you were up to see it!

So the surf is pretty much out of control. By now I'd expect it to be hitting the 4 – 5ft mark and breaking all over the shop. The only chance of a reasonable wave today would be Manly. Even book it in for the early bird session tomorrow. Sunday is looking mighty fine to. It might be worth a drive out of here!

Don't forget Tim Bonython is having one more screening of his hit movie "Immersion" at Randwick Ritz Cinema Sunday 4pm

Have a great weekend….Brad

Up-date 1st November 2012

‘’There’s always a wave for a longboard’’ says the old wise man. True.

It’s small, clean, warm, sunny, good for logs or Wegener, fun for groms.

Halloween parties have given birth to a few costumed wrecks that migrated to the beach for sunrise. Some are up for half a dozen Nurofens in a few hours, I can tell you…

If you were one of those training hard on the sand this morning, drink a lot of water after the training. 6:30am: 22 degrees. An iPhone never lies (?).

Today will be the perfect beach day. We might hit 34 (source: iPhone). Tomorrow will see an increase in swell size, but a drop in temperatures. So, find an excuse and leave work early this afternoon.

Tim Bonython's "Immersion" is playing again at the RITZ cinema at Randwick on Sunday 4th November. Don’t miss it ! Click on the banner below to get your tix. You won’t be disappointed…

Enjoy the day

Update 31st October 2012

Good morning to you! The waves are tiny but it's perfect for a longboard at Bondi today. You know – just a lazy cruise kinda thing. A bit of UV action on the face and a little splash around just to say you got out there and jagged a couple.

Bondi has a couple of fun banks. It seems very tidal though and seems to be best  on the mid to high tide. It's low tide all arvo so that might not suit the afterworkers

Hope you get to enjoy this sunshine.

Ooh, I almost forgot. It is fresh in the water. Take some rubber with you!

Back tomorrow – Brad!
