The Galapagos Diaries

Hi Frothers !

Yes, we’re still fighting Winter in Sydney. Great weather to get some work done, but still. We want sun. We want heat. We want waves.

Here are some wildlife shots of the Galapagos Islands taken 1.5 month ago. The Galapagos archipelago is one of the last places on Earth where Nature still rules. Not men. Where wildlife is rich and not (directly) threatened by humans, making it approachable like nowhere else. It was tough to choose just a few shots. My memory cards would be full every night…

Escape Window

Hi Frothers !

If you forgot your sunblock to go to the racecourse today, don’t worry, you should be fine. The weather has decided to make us long for Summer. It’s grey, windy, rainy, cold…so I reckon we’d create a 5 minutes escape window before some you head off to the TAB.

Rapa Nui. Just the name in itself makes you travel.

Rapa Nui has been one of my stops from my recent (long) travels. Actually, the last stop, finishing on a high.

Rapa Nui belongs to South America, as this is a Chilean territory. But the reality is that Rapa Nui is deeply Polynesian. Language, traditions, way of life, etc…are a million times closer to what you’d find in Papeete than in Santiago.

Rapa Nui is one of those places where something mystical floats in the air. It must be coming from the Moai, those famous statues. They are mesmerising. At first, it’s a ”Wow”. And then, you cannot help but thinking ”how ? why ? who ?….wow”. A great place to explore, surf, dive, horse-ride, find peace and mostly discover a population rich in traditions, culture and open to discuss their identity issues, if you show enough curiosity.

Put it on your bucket list.

Don’t forget the 10% discount all Photographers’ prints & artworks types/sizes, for all Xmas orders placed on/before the 22nd November. Just type xmas2015 in the coupon code box when checking-out, and there you go: 10% savings !

Have a good day ! May the odds be with you.

Xmas before Xmas

Hi Frothers !

As the weather decided to be really moody on this Monday morning (it’s much better now though), and the waves almost totally disappeared from our horizon (you might find 1.5 footers in Tamarama, if you’re keen to wait between the sets), we decided to brighten your day with 2 things:

  • some amazing images (#nothere #nottoday) taken by our talented Frothers Team around Australia and the globe.
  • a 10% discount all Photographers’ prints & artworks types/sizes, for all Xmas orders placed on/before the 22nd November.

Yes, this is Xmas before Xmas.

Just type xmas2015 in the coupon code box when checking-out, and there you go: 10% savings !

Whether you’d like to hang on your walls something local, or an amazing shot taken in your dream destination, we’ve got that covered. So, go and heal your Mondayïtis with a bit of Xmas shopping. This way, you’ll tick that box early, instead of keeping it for the last minute like you did last year. 😉

Have a good day !

Friday, Good Day

Hi Frothers !

Surf’s up guys ! It’s not perfect, but every beach will get waves today, as you’ll see in the shots. We’re looking at 3-5ft runners, under a pretty nice weather, and no wind.

What a pleasure to see the sun again. It won’t last long, but it’ll make a great Friday for those who can ”work from home” or sneak out early with a towel and a board already packed in the car.

Make the most of today, Frothers !

Have a great weekend.

In between

Hi Frothers !

This morning, we were in between. In between clouds and blue sky. In between mushy waves, and nice clean rides. In between Winter and Summer temperatures.

The Sun was trying to negotiate its way through the thick layer of clouds at sunrise, but the wind decided not to help. Zero wind.

Despite the many close-outs, and deceiving wave, there were a lot more people in the water, trying to find the needle in the haystack.

This improving trend should reach its peak tomorrow morning, before the clouds & wind strike again. Be there !

Have a good day.
