There's a little pulse of wobbly swell from the SE out there today. It looked tricky and all over the shop. All in all not too much chop shall we say but still Ok to go and get wet. The wind is meant to hang in there from the NW for most of the day and conditions on the wave face should improve. Low tide is at 2 pm and the water temp is still cool at 18 degrees. Air temp will hit 20.
A mate of ours is currently living in San Diego and he sent us a link to a pretty cool video of Bioluminescence surfing at night. Check it out!
This coming Sunday the annual Chloe Byron Memorial Longboard Contest is on again. This event truly brings together the local surf community for a day of remembrance and to also celebrate the life of Chloe who sadly lost her life in the Bali bombing's.
Have a great day – Brad

There aren't many people around after last nights down pour. The man grommets were out in force though, surfing a reform right hand bunker off 2nd ramp at Bondi. It's always good to see the regulars out there as they usually surf the best possible bank. These regulars are the man grommets more often than not. Consisting this morning of Luke Kennedy, Azza Buchan, Jedi the enforcer and Andy Liggins. Honestly I could see that froth drooling down their chin as they hit the water!
Weather looks like it's fining up out there. The thermometer should read 21 degrees a bit later and winds will stay light from the NE. Scout around for a wave as the swell is still hitting the 3 ft mark.
One last thing! If anyone out there is looking to get some experience in acting on a short film, here's your chance. A friend of ours is producing a short film and is after 4-6 actors for some minor character roles and then another 20 extras. If anyone wants to get their head in film land, give him a call 0426 260 943.
Have a great weekend and may the force be with you! – Brad

After a week long work trip to Perth in WA it's good to be back and into some waves. The ESE swell sure looks like a bit of fun today. Its pushing the 4ft mark on the sets and all beaches had some Ok waves getting in. Bronte looked like the pick while Bondi didn't look too bad midway down. Tama had a bit of a right bowl but was dominated by the boogers led by Ben Bayfield. The wind looks likely to shift round back to the NE later on and freshen up. All in all. Go surfing today if you can!
Over in Perth I didn't see a wave over 2 ft. You have to be lucky to get the Perth City beaches on, so I am told. There are more serious waves out at Rottnest Island about 15 miles offshore. You can get there in 15 minutes if you have the right boat with a couple of 250hp on the back 😉 Regardless of the lack of swell it was great to be able to fully scope it out. The pier at Cottesloe had this little left breaking off it and when I was there 20 years ago I remember the locals would surf it in the dark of night lit up by a light on the end of the wharf. Not sure if that happens anymore, probably not since that poor swimmer got taken by a Great White a bit further down the beach in waist deep water. Scary!
Good to be home! – Brad
