The clock clicked over to 9pm last night and, just like that, the wind swung around and started to howl and squeal from the south. There were gusts up around the 45 knot mark. Needless to say it has ripped the ocean apart as I saw on the early drive through today. It's not a pretty picture out there and I came up a couple of images short for today's update, so I thought why not pull up some images from Cape Solander, that I took a couple of weeks ago.

Hopefully you got to have a paddle yesterday. There were a few barrels out at Tamarama on the mid-tide but by the time I had a chance to get wet it had turned into a mini Teahupoo – threatening to chop my head off. Maroubra was on and a few mates also scored a sick session down at Mick Lowe's local down south.

Be on your toes tomorrow morning because NW – W winds are forecast. Could be some good ones around.

How fun would this be on days like this…. WATCH
