Today is a new day- made of new and changes. After hitting rock-bottom yesterday, the turning point is almost there and the swell will start to slowly increase again later today. Hopefully bringing some decent NE swell over the weekend for the exposed beaches, with strong off-shore winds on Saturday. But, don't get your hopes too high if you want to surf this morning- unless you ride a 9' log, you won't get much action.

Later today, the clouds will start staining that blue dome we’ve been enjoying day-in day-out for a while now. So, if you’ve thought about taking a sickie all week, while looking at Brad and Bill’s sunny shots, today is the day to enjoy the very last rays of sun that this week will offer. The rain is due to kick-in this arvo. Today is the day to go fishing, swimming, or snorkeling: the water is clear and warmer than the air.

Today is also my first day as a new Frothers’ photographer. Fear. Excitement. Pride. Butterflies in the belly. Feeling like a virgin. For those who can remember: I am the French bloke, who was surfing two weeks ago with a ridiculous tight red lycra suit in the crystal clear water of the Maldives…Not easy to be a buck! But I did not get sunburnt that day…

I am glad I could bring you some sunny shots for my first report. Seeing such a beautiful sunrise and sharing it with you just made my day!

Bonne journée à tous! Franck
