I see there has been a rare winter east swell in Sydney town. I wished I hadn’t viewed Brad’s report yesterday because good lefts make me home sick, especially when I haven’t had a surf for a week.

Looks like it’s back to a longboard if you want to surf today though, with very small but clean conditions right now on the Eastern Beaches.

I would like to say that it’s been all sunshine and heat since my last report from up here, in the country’s far north but that hasn’t quite been the case, with unseasonable rainfall for this time of year throughout the state of QLD. However, it has still been a lot warmer than Sydney town.

So what do you do when it’s raining in the Far North? Well, plenty actually. You can take a cable car or a train ride through the rainforest, check out some waterfalls and get all Nat Geo with your photography. So that’s what I did!

I’m hanging to get home for a surf tomorrow. Thank God school holidays are finally over!
