This is the arvo report. That’s what it is. Getting one up at all is sometimes a mission depending on what we’re doing.
I wish I had a better excuse than to tell you I left the computer to bolt to Maroubra because I got a call saying it was good. But that’s what you do when you shoot surf, you pretty much drop everything on the spot and do the bolt because conditions never last and as it turned out, I pretty much missed it anyway but did manage to snag a couple of extra shots to throw into this report. Happy days!
It’s nice out there folks! Sunny, off shore (right now) and clean 4 foot lines. The wind will probably turn NE later so Bondi should be the pick for the late surf as the tide comes in.
Have fun boys and girls!

Recipe for slow-cooked Sydney-siders…
Ingredients:
– a few millions humans
– a warm blow from the North
– a divine temperatured ocean
– some tiny 1 foot swell
Preparation:
Start bringing the temperature of the Sydney oven of at 25 degrees at first light, and quickly bring the humans to boiling, by cranking the oven up to 39 degrees. Let those humans grill, burn, roast all day in their cars, offices, construction sites, or shops. For the meat not to get too dry though, do not forget to keep it moist. A dip in the Ocean, or a quick paddle will do the trick.
Roast further, till night falls.
Finally, tomorrow, put all those humans back in the cool room, at 21 degrees, to bring them back to reality: it's only Spring !

PS: Next up-date for me will be in GMT-6 timezone.

Spring has sprung, you better run, the surf fun, forget the gun, take the fish, if you wish, cause it's delish! Ok, maybe I went a bit far there, but hey! It's a cracker out there right now.
Can't bring myself to write any more, because all I can think about is getting in the sun and surf, putting my 5'11" on one of those clean little walls and feeling the water rush between my fins. Woooshhh!!!
If you have some time, come and join me for a few. After all, two's company and 3 is certainly not a crowd… Around here anyway.
Cheers

What a jam packed weekend it was. Those Roosters certainly turned it on didn't they? Although I am a Rabbitoh it was great to see them getting up over the Sea Eagles.
So this morning is far more pleasant than yesterday. Early there was not much wind to speak of and surface conditions on the water were great. Wave wise though Bondi was looking average on the lowish tide but hopefully with a little more water on it, during the day and into the afternoon could be interesting. Check out the right rip bowl just off 3rd ramp for best results!
Our mates at Lifecycle Fitness in Bronte have an amazing 30 Day challenge for you all to achieve that rigged up summer body that you all want! The first seminar is being held tomorrow. Register your interest at [email protected]
Enjoy the day – 😉 Brad

Great to see some waves again, right in time for the weekend too! A bit of a disjointed southerly swell pushing in but hey, beggars can’t be chooser’s.
The banks are quite good too. Well, better then they have been anyway, with Bondi having a couple of options along it’s golden stretch, instead of one huge straight hander like it has been the last few weeks.
Swell should drop a bit over the next two days but remain big enough to keep the short board in the line up. Weather looks excellent as well, with the winds swinging back to the NE.
That means a dry track for the NRL Grand Final, which will make for an exciting finish to what’s been a great season of Rugby League.
Go the Roosters! I hate saying that as I’m a South’s supporter, but there is no way I’m going for that other mob.
Have a good one!

Spring is in full blast again, after a hot windy day yesterday…
Small waves are even back in the bay, at Bondi, and whales came for a stroll. 2.5ft is what you should expect, but it's clean and the South corner looked to be the best option, if you want to avoid the close-outs.
But, it should not be all about the surf. Running or boot-camping is the best in this season. It's not too cold, not too warm, and with the early sunrise, you can even score a relaxing moment with a coffee in hand, after exercising.
Soon, we'll be in the DST mode, which means: after-work surf !
Keep an eye on the Quiky Pro France today, from 4pm our time. It's gonna be epic: 6 to 9 foot at La Graviere, this will put on a great show !
Have a nice day !
Franck
