Happy Horse Day!

Hi Frothers!

I wish you all a happy horse day!

3 questions come to my mind, that I want to ask you:

– What are you going to do with all this money you’ve won? Surfboards? Trips? Holiday with the family? New car? Buy a Frothers Gallery photo?

– What could you have done with all the money you’ve lost? Dinner with the Mr/Mrs? A nice little present for the kid? Buy a Frothers Gallery photo?

– What could you do with the money you have decided not to gamble? Go to www.frothers.com.au and buy the shot of your dream? Buy a bouquet of flower for your new tinder date? A good bottle of wine maybe?

In any case, I reckon you should invest in Art, rather than horses. Much safer investment!

I hope you’re enjoying today at the race, or in the surf (there is no one in the water right now: pretty rare!).

Bondi In Great Form

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Frothers!

This morning is one of those rare one where Bondi’s got some decent size without closing out, and offering nice long rides. It’s rare enough that I decided to give it all my attention this morning. So many fun waves. Clean.

At one stage, I looked towards the beach and I thought the Fluro friday guys got the days mixed up. I was wrong: it was just Sage with heaps of ripping groms who were about to completely take over the line up at the South end. Forbidden for the 18 year old and beyond! They ripped almost every single wave that came their way, hunting every curl as a pack.

Oh…and if you haven’t seen yet, John John has won his 1st World Title (and the comp’ in Portugal too, on the side). Good on him. I think he’s bringing an amazing new trend, vision and great attitude to modern surfing. I’d put a 50 on the fact that he could break Kelly’s record one day (or come real close).

Have a nice day.

Reliable

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Frothers!

What a pleasure when the weather and swell forecast don’t lie. I love when it’s that reliable. You get out of bed with expectations that get fulfilled. I love it!

The surf was indeed pumping in Bronte, only if you’re ready to cope some heavy ones on the head. But I saw some incredible rides this morning early. Well done guys! I could not see who the surfers were, so if you know some of them, press ”forward to’’.

Tamarama was a zoo this morning. Anchors from all channels, reporting on the sculptures that got swept away by the swell.

On the WSL front, the tension is high: Jordy and JJF are still contenders in Portugal, forcing JJF to keep fighting hard for his World title. Great ending to the season…

Have a nice day.

Rough

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Frothers!

Gee, the water was moving this morning. A lot. Too much actually. Nowhere really surfable despite the sizeable swell and this morning’s favorable winds in Tama and Bronte. It’ll stay big tomorrow as well, but the wind looks a lot more favourable for all breaks. It could still be a notch too big for Bondi in the morning, but there is certainly potential for Bronte/Tama/Maroubra. Fingers crossed.

It really felt like a Winter morning today. Spring is really taking its time to settle in. Let’s just hope that Summer will take it’s time to leave too.

John John could be World Champ’ when we’ll go to bed or wake up tomorrow morning. Most likely the first title of a long series.

Have a nice day!

Art By The Water

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Frothers!

I am sorry for the lack of news this week, but I was busy with meetings and shoots that took my mornings away. I have a career of Commercial Photography to manage as well, and sometimes both careers can overlap.

Some of you may want to scream ”SPOILER ALERT”…but don’t worry, there is soooo much more to see of those sculpture. This is just a small appetizer, a teaser.

This morning was an ideal day to go out and walk around to discover the marvels of the 2016 edition of Sculpture by the Sea. Now, if you usually run the coastal walk in the morning, you may want to re-adjust your route for the next couple of weeks. This path is already looking like a jammed pedestrian highway.

Surfwise: Tama looked ok. Some fun little runners spread over 2 or 3 peaks. Bondi was a little messy and smaller.

This is almost the weekend, but unfortunately, it doesn’t look to promising. Rainy, and rather cold for the season. You should schedule some sleep-ins and going through the backlog of admin work!
