Perfect Minus The Waves

Hi Frothers!

No clouds on the forecast for today, so I decided to wait for the sun to rise up in the sky and make the morning shiny layer dissipate. As a result, some perfectly clear water. Masks and snorkles are almost unnecessary to explore what’s underwater today: just walk around with a pair of (polarized) sunnies. It should do the trick.

Conditions are perfect. Yes. Perfect…unless you want to surf. It’s definitely bigger than yesterday, but it’s still tiny. So, swim, run, dive from the rocks (careful though), or just lay on the sun. It’s a perfect day for it, and daylight saving is batting for your team: you can even do that after work!

Have a nice day.

From Up North

Hi Frothers!

Have you made the most of the long weekend? Where have you been? Any exciting trips outside of the bubble? Did you get the Webber on a beach somewhere?

For my part, I went up North, in the Boomerang/Blueys Beach area. Amazing part of the world.

If you like whale watching, this was the place to be. I’ve never seen so many whales and calfes in one spot, breaching, tail or fin-flapping and jumping off everywhere.

A decent sized shark was also spotted in Cellito Beach. But in terms of surfing…well, nothing to report.

This week ahead is looking like a nice one. Temperatures are finally going to rise to Spring/Summer like ones…and that, my friends, is a great news!

Have a nice day.

News From Newy

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Gang!

It’s the original Frother checking in today from Newcastle. I hope everyone has been well!

The family and I have been great up here. The boys are growing up quick and it won’t be long until I bring them back to Bondi to drop in on you all. As you all know I don’t and can’t shoot as much as I used to but still absolutely love it when I do. It’s so much fun and still to this day is my true passion in life apart from my wife and kids. There is just something about nailing a sick photo that I am addicted to. As the kids get older and we are able to travel a little more freely I am going to update my camera gear and get frothing with it all again. For now though it’s all about doing the house and backyard up so the kids have a good place to rumble as they grow up and cause havoc!

I really miss everyone down in the Eastern Suburbs. I’m down there every once in a while so hopefully catch you all next time I am down!

Just so you know some things I miss and what you may take for granted from the East

– Bill and Tony’s veal schnitzels
– Three Blue Ducks Bircher Muesli
– Swimming laps at Cloey with my gang
– Chapter One’s TAFE Brekky
– Swimming laps of Bondi with my lifeguard pals
– Bronte Reef
– Schooners at North Bondi RSL
– Peroni’s with Luke Stewart and Quiggers

Adios Amigos – I hope you liked my images from the last couple of weeks here in Newy!

Yesterday

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Hi Frothers!

Today is about yesterday. Yesterday was about tomorrow, in other words…today. Let me clarify…

When I was shooting yesterday morning, I knew that:
– I would not be able to sort/edit/post/write the newsletter in the same day due to some back to back appointments
– tomorrow (today) would most likely be a disaster weather-wise

So I thought ”perfect! Let’s keep the shots in the pipeline for the night and send them tomorrow” (today…).

What I didn’t know though, is that before it all turned to grey and wet, there has been a 10 minutes window of incredible colours in the clouds…damn! If you were outside around the 5:30am mark, you must have witnessed it.

Tomorrow (tomorrow), the North Westerly should have done its thing and the sky should be clear again. Swell is shifting NW, so I am not sure how much we’ll get around here. Crumbles most likely.

Almost there. The long weekend is ’round the corner. Hold on tight.

Have a nice day.

Clouds & Waves

[vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

G’day Frothers!

Not a breath of wind, some two footers and some incredibly textured clouds: that’s what you could find this morning at the beach.

It’s becoming warmer and busier on the sand and in the water. Some fun ones to be had that’s for sure.

The sky has now cleared up and we’re going to have a pretty nice day ahead of us. Enjoy it. You won’t be wearing your new fancy hat this weekend: it’s going to be windy as. And by windy, I’m talking 25/30knots+, from NW to W, so it won’t stay as warm as today for very long (I’m putting it out there so that Morning Bondi can get a reliable forecast to publish;)).

A bit of shameless self-promotion: Paul Amestoy Photography has done a little story/portrait of me. You can find it here.

Have a nice day!
