Hi Frothers!

 

Thursday night, I was chatting with (uber talented photographer) Murray Fredericks about some expedition work. And then he said: ”I’m going to try to find some waves in the Royal NP tomorrow. Come with me!”.

Deal!

So we left before dawn & the road trip paid off. Only two other surfers in the water, including Mark Baker who scored the barrel of the day.

Now, unfortunately, I promised Mark that I would not say where the shots have been taken, or he’d do my tyres. And I believe him. So, those of you who know will easily recognized the place. For all the other ones: sorry! I wish I could.

So here are some shots of this epic session under the sun and offshore winds.

Hi Frothers!

 

This morning, I had an important meeting over Skype with Europe at 6:30am. I had a choice when I woke up this morning: either skip the morning shooting altogether, or try to do what I could during the time that I had before 6:30am. I chose the later. A quick one over nothing.

And I think I was right. I did not have the leisure (aka time) to vary the angles too much, but hey…I still got a few shots, and i still find incredible how much you can capture before 6:30am in Bondi.

Hi Frothers!

Today is just too good to let it go without a swim. Without a surf, you may survive. It’s not the best day, even if there are a few waves around. But you CANNOT go to bed tonigth without washing your day away in the salt water.

It’s over 30ºC right now (sorry, I had to run in the City for a meeting before I could send the update). It’s the absolute beach day.

And if you take a sickie, no one will ever doubt you: it’s Tuesday!

Hi Frothers!

 

Did you go down the beach to get your dose of morning sun and morning fun? I hope you did. Such a bliss. So much fitness, running, surfing, photographing happening, it’s crazy.

The water is so warm. The waves in Bondi were rideable, quite clean actually. Bronte & Tama are a lot smaller but less crowded as well.

Now, if you’re looking to shoot the newly re-opened Bronte pool, you gotta get up early as it is photographers-crowded. This corner of Bronte has obviously been missed by the lens lovers.

As you know, CaliPress café’s in Bondi/Bronte/Coogee and Surry Hills are featuring some really cool Frothers Gallery artworks, available for sale. They have also published an interview (with some tricky questions) of the ”man behind the lens” aka me. Check it out here!
